Caterer Goodman Partners was established in 2011 to service expatriate families in Asia. Our partners were keen to deliver something new for our friends and clients.

Our principles were simple.

We wanted to remove conflicts of interest from financial advisory.
To service our clients the way we'd like our money managed.
To provide clean, simple and transparent solutions.
To work with a wide variety of leading partners to solve divers problems.
To leave the antiquated product market behind, yet not leave our clients un-serviced.

From those principles, Caterer Goodman Partners was born.

Owen Caterer

Owen has a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance (2005) from Australia Securities Institute and a Bachelor's Degree of International Business (1999) from Griffith University. Fluent in Mandarin and with more than 2 decades managing portfolios for expatriates and previously employed as Chief Investment Officer, he has a deep experience of investing with a global perspective.

Bill Longstreet

Bill has an MBA from Washington University and several decades of experience in Asia. Originally with a background in technology and information systems Bill moved into wealth management in 2000.

Having lived in several parts of Asia over the last 30 years Bill is an experienced consultant to expatriate families.

Our Service

Our partners work directly with clients rather than outsource the work or use junior staff. Thus you have only experienced professionals working with you. We provide professional personalized service similar in style to a private family office.

We have spent more than 20 years living as expatriates and working in the securities analysis, corporate financial advisory, and wealth advisory fields.

Our Approach

We use only a management fee approach, avoiding commissions. In other words, we do not receive compensation from third parties for the sale of products. This reduces the potential for conflicts of interest regarding our advice and services.

This means we have no complicated schemes, surrender fees, or lock-in periods, we’re able to work solely in your best interest.

We have relationships with first-class custodians in the United States and offshore markets. Thus we have access to the best solutions for our clients.

Our company has relationships with tax and insurance professionals. This extensive network is able to build personalized solutions for the infinite variety of clients we see.

Regulation

Caterer Goodman Partners has chosen to register with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as an investment advisor. This helps ensure you receive the highest level of care and fiduciary responsibility.

Why use Interactive Brokers?

The most important elements of an account are the security, trading costs, range of assets, regulation and ease of access. An account at interactive Brokers (IBKR) ticks all those boxes.

IBKR is US regulated and listed on the NYSE. It has fully segregted client assets. Trading costs start as low as $0 per trade in the US and are usually the lowest around the world. You can access 100% of your money with no exit penalties in only a couple of business days.
